Our 'can do’ attitude ensures customers receive excellent levels of service - they know that their boat is as important to us as it is to them. Our user friendly slipway and boarding pontoon (with disabled access) is suitable for use at most states of tide making family boarding safe and easy.
Are you known for your customer focus, bright, articulate and with high levels of customer service? Do you have experience in boat handling, both ashore and afloat? If your answer is yes, then we want to hear from you as we have exciting opportunities to join our recently expanded boatyard and Drystack facility.
Both roles require excellent knowledge of boats and marine industry, experience handling boats, a full driving license (as driving plant machinery is a requirement of the job) and own transport, RYA Powerboat II, ability to swim and be happy to work in all weathers, climb ladders, jump on and off boats, tying up boats, rigging boats, lifting etc.
40hrs/week – General hours 0830 – 1700 occasional hours outside including some weekends work through the season. Competitive salary.
With experience working on a variety of inboard and outboard engines the successful candidate will have proven experience and unparalleled communication and customer service skills. Responsible for maintenance and servicing of all customer engines on site, installation of engines, engine refit projects you will need ability to effectively diagnosis faults. You must possess strong analytical skills and have an innovative approach to problem solving.
The role requires efficient coordination and prioritisation of servicing works, ability to make suitable recommendation to clients. Installations of and repair to various electronic and navigational equipment. Have a good awareness of health and safety. Experience of Kudos software, current computer literacy, forklifting qualifications and experience in mentoring apprentices all a strong advantage.
40hrs/week – General Tuesday – Saturday week. Competitive salary.
Responsible for our premier Drystack service you will manage the launching and recovery of vessels as booked, ensure they are clean and ready to use on launch. You will also assist the yard team with craneage of yacht and motor craft haul outs and general yard maintenance. An enthusiastic, positive ‘can do’ attitude are as essential as approachability.
The role requires an ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service at all times, especially when under pressure. Experience in lifting boats using cranes, forklifts and driving tractors vital. You must be self-motivated, able to work without supervision, possess current computer literacy and have a practical, resourceful and common sense approach to work. Have a good awareness of health and safety. Experience of boat maintenance a strong advantage but not essential.
This is a temporary position over autumn / winter with the opportunity for a more permanent position. Experience of general boat maintenance, anti-foul, ship wrighting, and GRP repairs. Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety an advantage.
